Calvert Algebra I is a full-year, high school credit course for students who have successfully mastered the core algebraic concepts covered in Calvert Pre-Algebra. Within the Algebra I course, students explore basic algebraic fundamentals, such as evaluating, creating, solving and graphing linear, quadratic, and polynomial functions.

Throughout the course, student identify different real number properties and how to use them to solve algebraic expressions. In addition, the course covers translating word problems into algebraic equations, solving inequalities using real number properties, dividing radical expressions to solve equations, and more.
